At a very young age, A.K. decided she wanted nothing more than to become a writer and has so followed in the footsteps of her literary heroes (or at least tried to) since then.
A.K. believes in the power of story to inspire and connect people in what can seem like an increasingly disconnected world. In 2015, she received an honorable mention in Glimmer Train‘s April Very Short Fiction Award. Her work has been published online at Plum Tree Tavern and in NILVX: A Book of Magic and Thin Air Magazine. Previously, she served as an assistant creative nonfiction editor at Newfound: An Inquiry of Place.
